Battle Queens! Astoria vs. Forest Hills

The debate continues regarding the pros and cons of Forest Hills and Astoria, and which one will rule them all. I, personally, love Astoria, and Steve loves Forest Hills. That’s cool, love how everything is not the same. Good points are made about the hot 20 minute commute to midtown from Forest Hills. But we have the Beer Garden, and hence the reverse BAT action, which makes us hip. I do love the Beer Garden and it’s definitely a draw for some to leave Manhattan and other places (I’m also fond of Sparrow across from the Beer Garden - great food and beer). It does get pretty crowded at the height of summer, which is not so great. Forest Hills has cleaner air than us, too. Housing prices are about the same. People feel passionate about both communities. Maybe, in the end, all things become equal between the two. Something to ponder over the weekend, perhaps.

Oh, and it looks like I need to check out this Cheburechnaya. Maybe we can all come together and debate over dumplings.  :)
