Events: Jackson Heights Gardens Open to the Public and a Historic Walking Tour
This Saturday there will be a self-guided walking tour of the fabulous Jackson Heights gardens! They are not normally open to the public, so it’s a real treat to be able to see them up close and personal. The tour, which comes with a map so you can find your way around, lasts from 12noon-4pm. Tickets for this event are $10 each and may be purchased the morning of the event at the Community Church, which is at 81-10 35th Avenue.
Also, on Sunday at noon, the Jackson Heights Beautification Group is holding an escorted walking tour of the Historic District. For this tour, you must purchase or reserve your ticket in advance. This tour also meets in front of the Community Church.
And, if you want to partake in both events, there is special ticket pricing! $15 for both tours ($10 for one). Sounds like a deal to me. There are other events happening this weekend, sponsored by the JHBG. Their website has the details, and for info on both of these events, call them at 718-565-5344.
