McMansion or Not?
I just saw this $1.3 million listing on Foxtons - it sure looks like a McMansion to me, as it takes up so much space on the lot! It’s on a corner lot and the 4 bedroom house comes with an in-ground swimming pool and a Jacuzzi in the bathroom. Lots of marble throughout, and stainless steel. I find the ornate fencing to be particularly hideous. But there’s a full security system to protect the compound. And can someone tell me why brick pavers are an amenity? I know they’re nicer than simple concrete but not anything to crow about. Slate pavers, now that would be something.

Wow…looks like a cemetary.

Wow, you know what - you’re right! It does look a little like a cemetery. I blame that blasted ugly fencing. Yuck.

o.k. I’ll follows that by saying that the actual house looks like a mausoleum.

Who woulda thunk that Leona Helmsley’s final resting place would be in better taste than this.
